 MAIN ACTIVITIES:

·       Practice and support 5S – It must be the foundations for all effective shop floor management.  Clean as you work.  Take proper care of your area, it is a reflection of you, if it isn’t performing then you’re not performing.

·   Through effective personal performance

o Support Process and Product Quality – Reduce first time rejects and scrap by practicing effective standardized work practices.  Identify defects according to customer specifications and properly disposition defective parts.

o Through effective performance ensure Cost Targets are met.  Including maintaining cycle time targets and Assemble parts with meeting production quantity targets, properly controlling supplies cost, and controlling overtime to minimum or zero above customer requirement

·       Read, understand, and complete all production labels, work instructions, check sheets

·       Complete all other activities as assigned by the department leadership

·       Participate in Continuous Improvement tools (POSITIVE, POMs, Focused Improvement Roadmap, etc)

Plant 2nd Shift Leader: Paint

Work according to SHE requirements (LOTO, grounding…) and promote safety mindset on day to day basis • Develop paint programs and path teaching of robots as well as assist in new product development. 

Deploy paint standards in the shift 

• Start and stop the paint line 

• Control paint operation and equipment (including robots) 

• Check quality and conformity of the application process according to quality requirements and procedures (PPCM) 

• Apply maintenance level 1 procedures for robots and all paint equipment (guns, jigs…) 

• Maintain paint applicators • Support Mix Room (technical) 

• Assist with creating work instructions

• Minimize stops of the paint line 

• In case of defects, contribute to root cause analysis, action plan set up and deploy within his shift the corrective actions 

• Contribute in continuous improvement workshops; propose measures to improve product and process quality 

• Follow up and optimize continuously paint consumption (primer, basecoat, clear coat, hardeners, and solvents, rinsing solvents…) Work Instructions, procedures and information: • IMS, POMS, Optimap, Optipro 

• Participate in Continuous Improvement tools (POSITIVE, POMs, Focused Improvement Roadmaps, etc) 

• Represent Plastic Omnium in all activities entered into at the Customer’s Location. 

• Protect Plastic Omnium’s Interest.

• Protect Plastic Omnium’s reputation with plant 

• Investigate any identified problem • Initiate problem resolution (Communicate break point) 

• Determine responsible party 

• Review non-conforming material 

• Make sure plant is returning empty racks correctly 

• Gather Customer information. 

• Listen to customer needs 

• Communicate back to PO plant 

• Provide follow up/ feedback to customer regarding their needs 

• Visit/ Observe every area installing modules every 2hrs 

• Visually verify Customer running to process,. 

• Verify correct sequence number at any job in question. 

• Order replacement parts used for repair • Check in daily with every area coordinator 

• Complete a Liaison report and send to managers at PO plant Competencies: 

• Engineering technician degree preferred
