•Previous management experience

•Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs without assistance

•Technical skills (i.e. tool design, etc.)

Missions: 

    Promotes  safety culture in its area of responsibilities
    Optimizes short & mid-term production plans to guarantee customer service while taking into account internal and external constraints and profitability targets (cost & working capital)
    Promotes the usage of SCOOP for information sharing between the different functions of the plant

    Inventory level (lead time and/or stock coverage)
    Logistics costs (incl. premium transport and transportation filling rate)

Activities

•    Ensures that safety policies are understood and respected within his area of responsibilities

 

•    Before SOP, for new products, new customers or new processes
o    Checks equipment capacity required by new projects
o    Participates to the project team to setup the planning parameters of the new products
o    Plans the production for all trials while limiting impact of the current serial production and ensures smooth communication with MPM and EPM


•    Quarterly
o    Analyses the long term forecasts received from customers for serial and service parts
o    Calculates the capacity plan taking into account the industrial performance plan, identifies and escalates potential shortage issues


•    Monthly, plans to meet the forecasted customer demand
o    Analyses customers medium term forecasts
o    Defines the inventory profile strategy taking into account the working capital targets of the plant sets up S&OP (sales and operation planning: weekly molding and painting opening time and loads)
o    Makes sure that the master data in SCOOP are well maintained to reflect the actual flows


•    Weekly, plans to achieve the customer call off
o    Runs MPS (Master Production Schedule) and MRP (Master Requirement Plan), taking into account to inventory levels and the actual production performance
o    Sets up skids allocation for the paint line according to PO standard rules


•    Daily (in small plants or in case of one-shift production), prepares the shop floor detailed scheduling
o    Paint line: colour selection


o    Planning adjustments in case of machines breakdowns or SILS emergency


•    Leads related production planning meetings (quarterly, monthly and weekly) and  proposes planning  alternatives to the plant management team 


•    Once production plan is decided, ensures communication to production managers and team leaders


•    Controls the production plan execution (adherence to plan) and support production manager in case of deviations or delay


•    SILS communication (where applicable) : scheduling information (issues, shortages, challenges) and machine/equipment issues (paint line, injection, robots, etc)


•    Assist in reconciling information system transactions with physical material flows


•    Packaging/Storage management
o    Plans the flow of racks according to the production schedule
o    Update trans-stockers allocation per part type depending on mix and volume evolution
o    Communication with the logistics engineer and logistics manager on damaged rack status
o    Priorities rack repairs with logistics engineer, based on needs


•    Continuous improvement
o    Contributes to the TPM Supply-Chain Pillar (and/or to others) – Participates to workshops, kaizen…
o    Proposes and validate procedures, work instructions, etc
o    Encourages the good usage of the SCOOP system
o    Contributes to improvement projects.
