Plant 2nd Shift Leader: Paint

MISSION: According to production/Quality/time and costs standards:
Maintain the paint production process (robots, booths, water treatment processes), develop application and paint process, ensure basic maintenance, analyze and corrects deviations in such way that equipment OEE is improved KPI and/or main deliverables:
For the shift: • Safety in paint line • Scrap • Paint consumption • Paint OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) • Standardization • Paint assessment results MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Work according to SHE requirements (LOTO, grounding…) and promote safety mindset on day to day basis • Develop paint programs and path teaching of robots as well as assist in new product development.
Deploy paint standards in the shift
• Start and stop the paint line
• Control paint operation and equipment (including robots)
• Check quality and conformity of the application process according to quality requirements and procedures (PPCM)
• Apply maintenance level 1 procedures for robots and all paint equipment (guns, jigs…)
• Maintain paint applicators • Support Mix Room (technical)
• Assist with creating work instructions
• Minimize stops of the paint line
• In case of defects, contribute to root cause analysis, action plan set up and deploy within his shift the corrective actions
• Contribute in continuous improvement workshops; propose measures to improve product and process quality
• Follow up and optimize continuously paint consumption (primer, basecoat, clear coat, hardeners, and solvents, rinsing solvents…) Work Instructions, procedures and information: • IMS, POMS, Optimap, Optipro

Plant Engineer Manager

MAIN MISSIONS:
Coordinates the new projects for the plant (new products or new processes) ensuring adherence to customer requirements and optimizing resources of the plant and team
Co-ordinates and manages manufacturing processes improvement plans to generate earnings of quality and productivity
As process owner, is accountable for the IMS process management (process review, KPIs management, procedure periodic review and update, corrective and preventive actions implementation as needed and resources provision for process realization) taking into consideration relevant requirements and its evolution
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Is the interface between development teams and the plant (OPTIPRO/OTIMAP) coordinating plant resources, planning and small CAPEX investment
Sets up optimized, flexible and robust manufacturing processes/tools to improve productivity and quality. In line with POMS standards and methodology
Defines and optimizes plant lay out to improve safety and productivity, sets up and follows up according action plans
Is responsible for the product / process productivity plan for the factory
Manages plant investment budget, realizes calculation and feasibility studies
Ensures that maximum availability of the equipment (IMM, paint line, auxiliaries) by ensuring the coordination of the preventive and curative maintenance actions. Strong focus on OEE
Ensures the premises are safe, well-kept and always ready for production needs (power supply, access, handling tools…)
Defines implements and follows up HS&E action plans in his/her scope of responsibility
Manages his/her team (recruitment, objectives and performance assessment, training, development)
Sets up a safety mindset in his/her team
During the project phase:
Directs and implements the creation, update and filling of all the technical documentation
Validate small CAPEX (polishing benches, lighting…) ,follow up their installation, and ensures technical documentation management
Set up auxiliaries and specific equipment lay out
Set up workstation organization and visual management together with injection, paint and SILS managers
Liaise with central SC teams to set up internal logistics equipment (push racks, conveyors…)
Install or upgrade premises for big equipment‘s installation (power/water supply, cranes…)
Ensures adoption of all POMS standards, methodology and visual factory are deployed
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business or a related field
7+ years experience in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing
3 years in an Engineering Management role
Experience with paint or Class A surface materials is a plus
New model launch experience
JIT & Sequencing experience preferred
Financial acumen and ability to analyze data and present effectively to all levels of the organization

Missions

Activities
· Takes part to the injection tool concept validation.
· Takes part to the injection system definition.
· Brings technical proposals in order to improve the project targets: Quality, Cost, Lead time.
· Has to be an added value to the innovative proposals.
· Is the main technical contact with the toolmakers during the project life.
· Brings added value to the tool purchasing team.
· Uses on a daily basis the department data base tools ( TCRD , FAC , Action plan, trial evaluation…)
· Organizes and leads the Trial Preparation Meeting. Is responsible for the Injection Tools trials.
· Takes part to the trials and manages the needed actions in order to reach the Injection trials targets defined during the Trial Preparation Meeting, in accordance with the safety rules.
· Takes part to the wash up meeting after the trial and the tuning loop, for the analysis and synthesis of the global results with the core team.
· Updates the action plan (FAC) and displays the information to the toolmakers.
· Is responsible for the factory tool transfer stage (Tool, Injection process reliability in relation with the plant specifications).
· Makes lessons learnt on his project (best practices / bad experiences) and communicate them to Expertise injection & tooling group.
· Takes part to the customer initial samples parts validation (PPAP / PVS ….).
· Updates the department data base (Raw material / shrinkage)
· Follows the Division Quality system and Project procedures.
· Uses the Company working tools available
· May participate to injection molding meeting (worldwide)

MISSION: To support purchasing activities on current programs
MAIN ACTIVITIES: Work according to HSE requirements.

Paint Maintenance Technician (B Shift)
Paint Maintenance Technician (B Shift) 6 pm to 6 am

Activities:
Weld and fabricate all modifications
Make all necessary repairs and preventive maintenance checks for paint equipment
Keep equipment clean and dust free
Assist Automation Tech with needed repairs
Apply 5 “S” Standards to paint line equipment
Attend all classes and training required by Plastic Omnium
Install and maintain a wide variety of complicated mechanical, electrical, electronic transmission testing and Control equipment, single or 3 phase, up to maximum, voltage used plant and on injection equipment
Diagnose and solve any type of mechanical, electrical or electronic trouble with paint application and support equipment (RTO, robots, chillers, air-houses, burners, conveyors, robots etc.)
Design and install supports, conduit, wiring and piping for different equipment as needed
Build from wiring diagrams and sketches, large single phase and 3- phase equipment
Diagnose and repair breakdowns to all equipment in Paint Dept.
Keep up with all applicable codes and guidelines by NFPA, NEC, OSHA etc.
Operate a variety of power tools including grinders, drill presses, saws-all
Responsible for rigging and moving machinery and accurate installation
Assure all equipment is properly lubricated and maintained
Troubleshoot and diagnose repairs on all paint line equipment
Assist maintenance technicians in other groups as required
Qualification must have:
Upon successful completion of applicable Hazardous Materials Training, may be required to handle and/or transport hazardous materials and chemicals.
Participate in Continuous Improvement tools (POSITIVE, POMs, Focused Improvement Roadmaps, etc)
Must pass medical evaluation for respirator use
Be able to wear a personal harness
Be able to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometer, dial indicators, Veneer
Calipers and depth gauges
Having a working knowledge of PLC, PC and robotics
Requires ability to check general conditions as to wear diagnose bearing wear, shaft conditions
